Israel Is Starving Palestinians in Gaza

After breaking the ceasefire in late March, Israel enacted a complete blockade on all humanitarian aid, including food, water, medicine, and fuel. [1] Now, after more than two months of the current blockade, 70,000 children are being hospitalized due to severe malnutrition, and 3,500 children under five face imminent death. [2]
We are witnessing the intentional mass starvation of over 2 million Palestinian men, women, and children. As Israel’s strongest ally, the US is complicit in this horrific war crime that the US ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, publicly supports. [3]
ACTION: Tell Congress to stop the
blockade on humanitarian aid to Gaza.
The inhumanity of the intentional mass starvation that we are witnessing is beyond what people of conscience can comprehend. But we must keep taking action to stop it. And our Members of Congress must hear from us. The mass starvation of Gaza by Israel is a war crime.
Time is of the essence. The urgency for food, water, and medical supplies cannot be overstated.
“Within one week, we will see a severe starvation,” stated Dr. Ahmad Al-Farra, head of pediatrics and obstetrics at Nasser Hospital. [4}.
The actions we take in the next week, as Israel announces a new ground invasion into Gaza, will mark a turning point in Israel’s attempts to take over the entire Gaza Strip. The massacres and starvation will become more brutal than what we’ve witnessed if we succumb to inaction.5
We have a choice. We can take action, or we can turn away and do nothing.

Famine is imminent in Gaza. After more than two months of Israel’s total blockade on food, water, fuel, and medicine, over 70,000 children are being hospitalized with severe malnutrition, and 3,500 children under five are on the brink of death.
This is collective punishment at an unimaginable scale — a blatant war crime unfolding in real time, enabled by US support.
Every hour we wait, more children die. Aid trucks are being blocked. Hospitals are collapsing. Parents are watching their children starve to death before their eyes. The world will remember who stood by — and who stood up.
As your constituent, I am demanding that you act immediately.
You must now call for an immediate end to Israel’s blockade on Gaza, demand unrestricted entry of humanitarian aid, and condemn the deliberate starvation of civilians as a war crime.
