(August 5, 2025) — Hiroshima on Wednesday marked the 80th anniversary of the US atomic bombing of the western Japanese city, amid growing support of global leaders for nuclear weapons as a deterrence.

(August 6, 2025) — At 08:15am on 6 August 1945, the United States dropped an atomic bomb on the Japanese city of Hiroshima. Three days later, it bombed the southern city of Nagasaki.
