(November 30, 2025) — Donald Trump’s approval ratings are at record lows.1 Even Republicans aren’t buying the stories he is selling about rising cost of living and quality of life.2 MAGA loyalists like Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene are jumping ship.3
So Trump is taking the path of most dictators when they begin to lose power: getting us into an armed conflict.
Under the guise of a “war on drugs,” the Trump administration has been ordering illegal airstrikes near Venezuela without congressional approval.4
And this week, sources revealed that Trump’s so-called “peace plan” for Ukraine was drafted in concert with Russia and is a wish list for Vladimir Putin.5
We cannot let the world think that Trump speaks for us — and that’s where the No Kings movement comes in.
MoveOn and our partners are likely coordinating a third No Kings Day next year. But massive and historic days of protest do not just happen overnight. The third No Kings day of action will take months to build and prepare for. It will take consistent and sustained organizing, recruiting new people into the progressive movement, and, as the day draws closer, recruiting, training, and supporting thousands of volunteer leaders all across the country.

This illegal military action against Venezuela is deeply unpopular.
Seventy percent of Americans are against it.6 And Republican Senators Rand Paul and Lisa Murkowski voted with Democrats to attempt to stop the action in Congress.7
Two-thirds of Americans also support Ukraine over Russia, but Trump doesn’t care.8
It is important both to our democracy and our standing in the world that we show we care.
Protests can make a difference, when enough people show up. They challenge the narrative the Trump regime is trying to sell, and they give potential resisters courage to join in. The more we come together—and for the last No Kings protest, 7 million of us did — the more people have the bravery to, for instance, stand up to ICE for their neighbors or refuse to follow Trump directives in their workplace.
That’s why grassroots organizing and mass movements matter so much. When millions of people gather on the same day, someone who has been afraid will find courage. Someone alone will find community. Someone ready to give up will decide to keep going. And all of us will remember we’re capable of far more than Trump wants us to believe.
That’s how movements change history. And that’s why MoveOn is excited to help coordinate the next No Kings Day and to continue to build the progressive mass movement against authoritarianism.
