Anti-war Group Under Attack Vows “We Will Not Back Down”
Win Without War

(December 13, 2025) — This is not an email any organization wants to have to write but Win Without War is under attack.

Our campaign to support servicemembers with resources in the face of potential illegal orders has received a TON of attention — but it’s also created incredible risk for our small team. Far-right journalists have recently stirred up media coverage on sites like Breitbart and Infowars, inviting a flood of misinformation and hateful comments on social media.

Amidst a flurry of hate speech, harassment, and intimidation, our operations team is racing to respond — shoring up our digital security, protecting our staff from personal attacks, and consulting with legal experts.

We’re not going anywhere. But the troubling reality is that the more impactful our work is, the more of a target we become. To keep up our effective campaigning, we need to strengthen our organizational infrastructure — which is going to require funds we didn’t budget for.

We set a $40,000 goal to protect our team, defend our organization, and keep up our critical work without interruption. As the far-right tries to silence us, will you help us strengthen our security and infrastructure so we can keep campaigning against Trump’s authoritarianism at full speed?

Our simple, effective campaign to remind servicemembers that they have rights in the face of illegal orders has Trump’s far-right allies scrambling to shut us down. The thing is? That means it’s working — and we’re as undeterred as ever.

We can’t let them win. So as scary as some of these personal attacks have been, we refuse to back down.

We owe it to the servicemembers being put in an impossible position by Trump and Hegseth. And we owe it to ourselves and everyone working toward a more just, peaceful world to keep going.

With each new campaign comes new risk assessments, legal consultations, and increased security work — all of which take up precious staff time and resources. The work may not be as flashy as eye-popping billboards, but it’s critical if we’re going to keep up our campaigns to stop Trump’s violence-first policies at home and abroad.

The costs of doing this right can add up quickly, but it’s not something we’re willing to compromise on.

Thank you for all you do for this work, for our organization, and to build a safer, more peaceful world.
