October 3, 2003

This global document attempts to integrate the values and issues of social justice, peace and international cooperation, democracy, and environmental sustainability into the way they do business.
There's a worldwide effort to get local governments to integrate the values and issues of social justice, peace and international cooperation, democracy, and environmental sustainability into the way they do business.
These are the same values that are embodied in TrueMajority's 10 Principles. Therefore, TrueMajority has formed a partnership with the Earth Charter Community Summits.
On October 11 your community, along with 30 others around the country, will hold a local summit to help people implement these principles in their local communities.
Outcomes of the summits will include the use of the Earth Charter principles in education, arts, government, business, and personal lives.
The Earth Charter is the result of a global grassroots drafting process that involved over 100,000 people in 78 countries over the course of 12 years and was launched at the Hague Peace Palace in June, 2000.
