Al-Anbar Province.
Al-Fallujah
Resistance blasts US Marine headquarters east of al-Fallujah Sunday night.
In a dispatch posted at 9:10pm Makkah time Sunday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier eight huge explosion s rocked the city of al-Fallujah about 60km west of Baghdad. The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the blasts were the result of a fierce Resistance rocket barrage targeting the headquarters of the US Marines. The correspondent reported that the eight explosions shook the American camp known as al-Mazra‘ah (“the Farm”) located to the east of the city. After the blasts flames and dense smoke rose over the Marine facility. US helicopters and war planes were prowling the skies over the city at the time of reporting.

Al-Khalidiyah

US soldier reported killed by Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter in al-Khalidiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 12:58pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksmen shot and killed and American and an Iraqi puppet soldier in al-Khalidiyah, about 80km west of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Khalidiyah as saying that a bullet from an Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter’s weapon killed an Iraqi puppet army soldier when he was manning the as-Siddiqiyah command post. The Iraqi puppet soldier took a direct hit and died instantly. In the other incident, an American foot patrol was operating near the al-Khalidiyah General Hospital when a Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet directly struck one of the US troops, killing him instantly.

Abu Ghurayb
Fifty-seven families of Sunni victims of sectarian cleansing arrive in Abu Ghurayb Sunday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 6:50pm Makkah time Sunday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that 57 families of Sunnis driven out of southern Iraq by Shi‘i sectarian gunmen, arrived on Sunday in Abu Ghurayb, about 30km west of Baghdad. The Abu Ghurayb correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that most of the familes left their homes en masse, saving themselves from sectarian deathsquads. The correspondent reported that some of the families were being housed in tents and others had been taken in by wealthy residents of Abu Ghurayb.

Baghdad
Bodies of 26 Sunnis, all showing signs of torture, found in Baghdad in 48 hour period. Among them a mother and her three sons kidnapped by Shi‘i sectarian gunmen. In a dispatch posted at 6:30pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that within the previous 48 hours, the Iraqi puppet police had found 26 bodies of Sunni Iraqis in various parts of Baghdad, all of which bore signs of torture.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a medical source in al-Yarmuk Hospital as saying that 26 bodies arrived in his facility, all of them Sunnis and all bearing signs of torture. All were finally killed by gunshots. The correspondent noted hat among the bodies were three brothers and their mother who had been kidnapped in the as-Sanak area of central Baghdad by Shi‘i sectarian militiamen two days earlier.

US forces carry out campaign of mass raids and arrests in Baghdad’s al-A‘zamiyah district.
In a dispatch posted at 4:12pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces under cover of helicopter gun ships surrounded and sealed of the Baghdad district of al-A‘zamiyah at dawn Sunday and began a campaign of raids and searches that was still going on at 4pm local time Sunday afternoon. Hundreds of houses were searched. The al-A‘zamiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that hundreds of soldiers and more than 3,000 puppet troops of the Iraqi puppet army’s fourth division launched the raids at dawn. A curfew was proclaimed in the district keeping people confined to their homes until the American raiders showed up at the door. The correspondent reported that US forces arrested a large number of local residents, seizing the light arms – such as Kalashnikovs, pistols, and even hunting guns from the houses – weapons that the residents use to defend themselves against Shi‘i sectarian death squad attacks.

Resistance car bomber kills 11 at checkpoint outside hotels where foreign newsmen, profiteers stay in downtown Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 12:25pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet forces’ checkpoint near the hotels where foreigners stay in the middle of the occupied Iraqi capital. The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported shopkeepers on as-Sa‘dun Street who witnessed the attack as saying that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car up to a checkpoint manned by Iraqi puppet army troops and blew up. The checkpoint was near the ‘Ishtar and Palestine Hotels where foreign journalists and profiteer contractors working for the American occupation stay. The witnesses said that the blast killed 11 Iraqis, including three puppet troops. Another 17 were wounded, two of them members of the Iraqi puppet forces.

Resistance bomb in western Baghdad kills two puppet “Iraqi National Guards.”
In a dispatch posted at 11:59am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of puppet “Iraqi National Guards” on the road to al-‘Amiriyah in the western part of the occupied Iraqi capital. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb destroyed a Humvee belonging to the puppet “Guards” and killed two Iraqi puppet troops and wounded two more of them.

Resistance car bomb explodes in parking lot of regime-run newspaper in eastern Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 11:20am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded in the private parking lot of the newspaper as-Sabah, a mouthpiece of the US-installed Iraqi puppet “government” in Baghdad. A number of people were reported killed or injured in the blast. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a member of the puppet police, who had surrounded the area, as saying that a Resistance fida’i fighter drove the explosives-laden vehicle and blew it up in the parking lot of as-Sabah in the al-Qahirah neighborhood of eastern Baghdad. The explosion destroyed a large number of cars parked in the lot, in particular those belonging to staff members of the newspaper. Four people were killed and 16 more wounded in the blast, the puppet police source said.

Resistance targets Shi‘i sectarian militias with mortars, rockets.
In a dispatch posted at 11:15am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired six mortar rounds and three medium-range Katyusha rockets into the headquarters of Shi ‘ sectarian militias in the Sab‘ al-Bur area of northern Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Sab‘ al-Bur as saying that the Resistance targeted the headquarters of the pro-American Shi‘i sectarian Badr Brigades and of the pro-puppet-government Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi and both took direct hits from the Resistance fire. Witnesses reported plumes of smoke rising from the headquarters as ambulances raced to the target areas.

Resistance bomb kills four puppet “Shock Troops” in eastern Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 10:48am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” on the highway known as the al-Qanah Highway in eastern Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that the bomb destroyed a patrol vehicle, killing four puppet “Shock Troops” who were aboard it and wounding two more of them.

At-Tarimiyah

Three bombs rip through convoy hauling concrete barricades.
In a dispatch posted at 6:20pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier three Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded by a convoy of US occupation trucks hauling cement barriers used at check points on the road to at-Tarimiyah, about 30km north of Baghdad. The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the three trucks that were blown up by three bombs were totally destroyed. Afterwards, US occupation troops closed the road, where they still were at the time of reporting as other soldiers worked to put out the fires. A witness told Mafkarat al-Islam that an Asian driver of one of the trucks who was working for the US occupation was killed in the attack and that two other drivers were wounded.

Tikrit

Resistance bomb blasts US supply convoy north of Tikrit.
In a dispatch posted at 12:18pm Makkah time midday Sunday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US column on the main road to the al-‘Alam area of northern Tikrit, about 180km north of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Tirkit as saying that the bomb went off by a convoy of several US trucks hauling materiel and Humvees. The explosion destroyed one truck loaded with military materiel, wounding its driver who was working for the US occupation forces.

Al-Mada’in

Resistance bomb blasts US patrol southwest of al-Mada’in.
In a dispatch posted at 11:31am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol on the way to al-Hafariyah, southwest of al-Mada’in, about 25km southeast of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Mada’in as saying hat the bomb went off by a patrol of several American Humvees, completely destroying one of the vehicles and killing or wounding the four US troops aboard it. After the attack, US troops opened fire indiscriminately around the area and then surrounded it. They hauled away the wreckage of the Humvee and evacuated the bodies of their dead and wounded.

Al-Hillah

Resistance blasts puppet “Shock Troop” headquarters in al-Hillah with rockets and mortars midday Sunday. In a dispatch posted at 7:10pm Makkah time Sunday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighers fired seven mortar rounds and four Katyusha rockets into the headquarters of the Eighth Squadron of the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” in al-Hillah, about 100km south of Baghdad at midday Sunday. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that the rockets and mortars “inflicted material damage and heavy casualties” Witnesses said they saw ambulances evacuating dead and wounded to al-Hillah General Hospital a quarter of an hour after the attack.

Al-Musayyib
Resistance bomb kills officer in puppet police near al-Musayyib.

In a dispatch posted at 10:38am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a puppet police patrol on the main road between al-Musayyib and Jurf as-Sakhr, about 65km southwest of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported from al-Musayyib, about 70km southwest of Baghdad that eyewitnesses said that the bomb destroyed a patrol vehicle, killing the officer in the patrol and wounding three more of the puppet policemen.

Kirkuk

Resistance bomb kills four puppet “National Guards” in Kirkuk.

In a dispatch posted at 11:28am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a column of puppet “Iraqi National Guard” troops on the road to Tikrit southwest of Kirkuk. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the ar-Rashad district of Kirkuk as saying that the bomb destroyed a Hino vehicle killing four puppet “National Guardsmen” who were aboard it and wounding two more of them.
