PO Box 1009, 121 Reykjavik, Iceland.

The Wishing Well, which surrounds the strong and tall tower of light that is IMAGINE PEACE TOWER, bears the inscription “IMAGINE PEACE” in 24 languages.

Ono said today: “On October 9th, I hope that the world will pause for a time and imagine peace. I am unveiling the Peace Tower in memory of John. I am thrilled to do it in Iceland, a unique and beautiful country in which 80% of the energy is provided by water, not oil.

The air, water and earth are surprisingly pure and clean, as a result. I hope that the light from the tower will shine, not just physically on those present at the unveiling but will be beamed across the world so that the message of peace will be delivered to all people. IMAGINE PEACE!”

Imagine DC Peace
US Capitol Deadlier than Iraq for Americans

Lindzi Mapplebeckpalmer

There has been a monthly average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq theatre of operations during the last 22 months, and a total of 2,867 deaths.

That gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000 soldiers.

The firearm death rate in Washington DC is 80.6 per 100,000 persons for the same period.

That means that you are far more likely to be shot and killed in the US Capital than you are in Iraq.

Conclusion : The US should pull out of Washington.
