Jesse Ventura: Clandestine US Missions
Has the US secretly started wars and assassinated leaders?
Riz Khan / Al Jazeera
(April 7, 2011) — We talk to Jesse Ventura, the former governor of the US state of Minnesota, about his controversial new book, 63 Documents the Government Doesn’t Want You to Read.
In the book, Ventura has published dozens of previously classified US government papers that seem to suggest Washington may have secretly provoked the Vietnam War, lied to the American people about the actual threat of terrorism and experimented on its own soldiers.
Ventura says those are just a few of the clandestine activities involving the US government over the years. But what can US citizens do to make their government more accountable? This episode aired on Thursday, April 7, 2011.
Jesse Ventura and US Conspiracies
(March 13, 2010) — Most US text books cite John Wilkes Booth as the assassin of Abraham Lincoln, the 16th US president, ignoring the involvement of eight other conspirators who were convicted. But is this intentional, and if so, why?
On Thursday’s Riz Khan show we talk to Jesse Ventura, the controversial author and former wrestler turned governor, who says there are many more historical “facts” that have been conveniently overlooked.
In his latest book, American Conspiracies: Lies, Lies, and More Dirty Lies that the Government Tells Us, Ventura goes behind some of America’s best known stories to uncover the conspiracy and reveal the truth.
The Riz Khan show aired from, Thursday, March 11, 2010.
