Vanuatu vs Trump on Climate Threat
Avaaz
Trump is bullying Vanuatu for trying to save all of us from a climate meltdown. For our own sake, let’s call on our leaders to back Vanuatu and VOTE YES on its ambitious UN climate proposal! The vote is in a few weeks, speak up now!

(April 15, 2026) — Vanuatu, a small Pacific island country, has become Trump’s next bullying target – for trying to save itself and all of us from a climate meltdown.
Vanuatu could soon be wiped off the map unless the world stops burning fossil fuels, and too many people worldwide have already lost their livesto the climate crisis.
You’d think that would be enough to spur fellow nations into urgent action. But it’s not. Now, the world’s highest court has spoken: governments have a legal obligation to protect people from climate change.
Vanuatu’s proposed resolution aims at turning the court’s ruling into powerful global action. Let’s make sure our governments vote in our best interest, instead of bending to Trump’s bullying – sign now!

Facing the climate crisis that could wipe Vanuatu off the map and Trump’s bullying, its Foreign Minister Ralph Regenvanu says:
“We are on the frontline in the Pacific, but no country, not even the US, is insulated from climate change, and we’re doing this on behalf of everybody.”
So let’s unite and tell leaders that their priority must be safeguarding our future, not fossil fuel companies.
They are voting in just a few weeks, so we need to make our voices heard NOW. Once our call is massive, Avaaz and allies will make our voices heard at the UN!

The climate crisis is closer than we thought to a point of no return, beyond which runaway global heating could no longer be stopped. And now wars are further disrupting the world order. But this is our moment to choose a safer, fairer, 100% fossil-free future, as long as we unite!
With hope and determination,
Alice, Nate, Pascal, and the whole Avaaz team
