Leaked Audios Reveal US Plan
to Dominate Latin America

(May 8, 2026) — Something dark is unfolding in Latin America. And like so many operations tied to U.S. power, it comes wrapped in the familiar language of “freedom,” “democracy,” and “national security.”

For more than a century, Washington has used those words to justify coups, invasions, sanctions, media manipulation, and political interference, and now, earlier this year, even the kidnapping and imprisonment of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores on U.S. soil, whenever Latin American countries attempt to chart an independent path.

Now, leaked “Hondurasgate” audio recordings suggest that the playbook is evolving once again, pulling back the curtain on a transnational operation involving Trump allies, Honduran elites, Argentine President Javier Milei, Israeli-linked political networks, and coordinated media warfare targeting progressive governments across Latin America.

And while these networks coordinate attacks against governments across the region, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife remain imprisoned in New York. Send Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores a collective message of solidarity today.

The recordings, whose authenticity was confirmed through forensic analysis, capture conversations between former Honduran president Juan Orlando Hernández,  convicted in a U.S. federal court for drug trafficking, and current Honduran president Nasry Asfura discussing plans to:

• attack the governments of Claudia Sheinbaum in Mexico and Gustavo Petro in Colombia
• build U.S.-based “digital journalism units” to spread disinformation across the region
• persecute left-wing opposition forces in Honduras
• expand privatized “ZEDE” zones where corporations can operate outside labor laws, environmental protections, and democratic accountability
• strengthen U.S. military and corporate control in Honduras

In one of the recordings, Hernández says: “We’re going to set up a cell from here, from the United States… an informational one.”

In other words, a media warfare cell. This is what fourth-generation warfare looks like: disinformation, psychological operations, digital propaganda, and narrative control designed to destabilize governments from within.

And it goes even deeper. In one exchange, Hernández says Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had “everything to do” with securing his release after Trump pardoned him in 2025.

For decades, the United States alongside Israel and aligned political and corporate networks, has treated Latin America as a backyard to discipline, exploit, and control whenever governments dared to choose sovereignty over obedience.

Nicolás Maduro has become an example of what happens when a government refuses to align with empire.

For years, the U.S. government and corporate media have worked to manufacture consent for intervention in Venezuela through sanctions narratives, disinformation campaigns, and the constant portrayal of Maduro as uniquely illegitimate, irrational, or disposable.

These leaked recordings confirm that media manipulation is strategic.

A region is being told:

If you refuse to align with empire, you can be sanctioned, destabilized, manipulated, isolated or kidnapped.
