Trump’s Goal: An Environmental Pollution Agency

The EPA Is Attempting to Dismantle…the EPA?

(September 14, 2026) — The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has one job: To protect our environment and public health. But late last night, news broke that the Trump EPA is declaring that climate pollution from U.S. power plants poses no threat to public health and the environment.

Let that sink in…

Trump wants to take a sledgehammer to protections for the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the climate that we rely on. He’s doing this to further enrich the corporate polluters who helped get him elected.

We are fighting back and we need you with us.

A handful of corrupt politicians and their fossil fuel executive friends must not be allowed to gamble with our lives and the future of humanity.

But that’s exactly what’s happening.

By proposing that the EPA no longer limit greenhouse gas emissions from coal and gas power plants, the Trump EPA is making climate denial its official position. This is wrong, illegal, and it will cost lives.

Power plants are one of the country’s biggest sources of greenhouse gases — the pollution that drives climate change. The science is clear. This pollution is fueling the extreme heat, wildfires, and floods that are killing thousands of people worldwide.

Now Trump’s EPA wants to give up its own ability to limit climate pollution from power plants, vehicles, and more by repealing the Endangerment Finding, which states that greenhouse gases threaten the public’s health and welfare. No matter who’s in office next, this decision could stand for good unless we do something about it.

Comment now to demand the EPA put people and our planet ahead of polluter profits.

While the coal, oil, and gas companies who created this crisis make record profits, our families pay more in skyrocketing energy bills, groceries, insurance costs, and transportation.

We don’t have time to lose ground: every ton of carbon pollution we fail to stop today means a hotter summer, a stronger storm, and a higher utility bill down the road. A UN report just found that we will exceed the critical threshold of 1.5°C of global warming due to burning fossil fuels. We need immediate climate action.

Protecting the EPA’s power to limit climate pollution is essential. But it will only happen if enough of us speak up. Tell the EPA: no more polluter giveaways. Protect our health and our climate!

Does Making a Comment Really Matter?

Yes! Every public comment on EPA’s proposal will be a part of the official record. They shape what happens next, including in court. Take just a moment to write a short personal message about why you oppose this polluter handout. Every voice counts. Don’t sit this one out.
