ACTION ALERT: Stop $5 Billion in US Bombs to Saudi Arabia

ACTION: Tell the US Senate to Stop
$5 Billion in Bombs to Saudi Arabia
Win Without War / Stop Arms Sales

(September 28, 2026) — the Trump administration just greenlit a $5 BILLION weapons sale to Saudi Arabia — including the same 2,000-pound bombs the Saudi military has previously used to kill civilians in Yemen. [1][2]

Trump’s State Department claims the sale serves the “national security objectives of the United States.” But we have to ask: Do sales like these make you feel any safer?

Since the end of Trump’s first term, his family’s financial ties to the Saudi government have only deepened. In January, the Trump Organization expanded its real estate plans in Saudi Arabia with $10 billion in developments. Jared Kushner’s investment firm has taken $2 billion from the Saudi sovereign wealth fund — the same fund chaired by the authoritarian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. [3][4]

At best, it’s a conflict of interest. At worst, it reeks of corruption.

But here’s the good news:
Senators Ed Markey (D-MA) and Jeff Merkley (D-OR) introduced a Joint Resolution of Disapproval (JRD) to block the sale, and the Senate is voting soon.

ACTION: So far, this sale has attracted very little attention — and we have just days to change that before the vote. Will you send your Senators an urgent reminder that the public does not support corrupt and dangerous weapons sales?

The U.S. government cannot expect peaceful solutions as it simultaneously arms the world to the teeth. Now, with multiple wars deepening across the Middle East, more weapons are not the answer. It’s time to change course.

Because we already know the deadly consequences of arms sales like this one, Gar. In 2016, a Saudi airstrike using a Raytheon-made MK-82 guided bomb hit a community hall in Sana’a, Yemen, killing over 140 people and wounding hundreds more. Two years later, a Saudi warplane dropped a 227kg laser-guided bomb made by Lockheed Martin on a school bus in Dahyan, killing 40 children. [5][6]

These tragedies aren’t isolated incidents. They’re the predictable outcome when you hand billions in bombs to a government with a documented record of striking hospitals, weddings, and marketplaces. [7]n

And now, as the Trump family’s fortunes grow thanks to deals with Saudi investors and the royal family, Trump greenlights another massive weapons deal. The timing is not a coincidence.

We refuse to be silent. And now Senators Markey and Jeff Merkley have given Congress a way to stop it, but the JRD only passes if senators hear from enough of us, fast enough.

The good news is we’ve won fights like this before. During Trump’s first term, a bipartisan Senate majority passed JRDs blocking $8.1 billion in weapons sales to Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Under Biden, widespread public outcry helped secure a hold on 2,000-pound bombs headed to the Israeli military. [8][9]

Weapons makers know this history too. That’s why they’ve spent millions on lobbying and campaign donations to keep sales like this one moving. They’re hoping we all stay quiet. Let’s prove them wrong.

Will you send an urgently needed message to your Senators right now?

Thank you for working for peace,
The Win Without War team
