(September 30, 2026) — Last month, governments gathered in Geneva to stop AI from deciding who lives and dies — with no human in the loop.

Then the US and Russia walked into the closed session and gutted the language. No human authorization required. No binding commitment to stop automated warfare.

This is how killer robots become legal: in a back room, while the rest of the world watches. And the billionaires behind AI and weapons companies win again.

But we’re not giving up. In a few weeks, countries return for critical negotiations, and at least 76 are still pushing hard for a binding treaty.

That’s why we urgently need your help. We need to get AI campaigners and experts to the next round of talks — people who can hold states accountable, brief diplomats, and make sure Trump and Putin can’t sell out humanity to tech billionaires.

Here’s what’s terrifying: these weapons already exist. They’ve already been deployed. The Geneva talks were our best shot at a binding treaty before every major military has them — and right now, the US and Russia are making sure that never happens.

These negotiations run on consensus, which means any country can block a treaty. That’s exactly why the diplomats on our side WANT campaigners in the room to give them the support they need to produce a strong treaty. It’s the best way they can demonstrate how the public will react.

With the November conference fast approaching, we have a window. We need experts in place and active from today through the negotiations, briefing states, generating research, and growing the coalitions that make watering-down politically costly.

This is not a situation where we can wait and see. If this conference concludes without a treaty, the next opportunity could be five years away — and autonomous weapons technology is not waiting five years.
